Recently in Washington, this fungus was spotted in the south western part of the city. It is an airborne disease and people develop it by breathing in fungal spores which are microscopic in size and can lead to harmful consequences. This condition again depends on the strength of the immunity system of an individual. People who develop this condition called valley fever generally need anti fungal medication to get over it. A certain section of the people is more vulnerable to the disease and they should avoid exposure to Coccidioides by avoiding areas where it is mostly present in the environment.
